The Alta Val di Non, thanks to its plateau shape, represents an ideal destination for those who love traveling on two wheels. The brand new cycle path is made up of a splendid 25 km long ring that develops on paved and paved roads and connects the towns of Malgolo, Romeno, Salter, Cavareno, Sarnonico, Ronzone, Malosco and Fondo and then return to the village of Romeno in the green through the endless meadows of the locality “Pradiei”. We remember the dirt trails for MTBs for a total of 7 km. Bike2 The route is mostly flat, excluding some slight uphill stretches, for a total of 560 meters in altitude.

In addition to the historic Marino Stenico crag near Fondo, it is also worth trying the famous Mondino crag that has recently opened new sectors with routes also of medium difficulty. Not to be missed is the brand new Muro Maestro cliff that always overlooks the spectacular Mondino canyon. The San Romedio cliff is located right along the path that connects Sanzeno to the famous Sanctuary of San Romedio, here we must pay attention to the many visitors who walk this path to visit the hermitage.

Descent, cross-country skiing, mountaineering, but also snow-shoeing and horse-drawn sleighs in Val di Non. There are three ski areas in the Val di Non, which offer opportunities for fun for those who love Nordic or alpine skiing, ski mountaineering and for those prefers snowboarding. The district offers slopes for alpine skiing at Passo della Mendola on Monte Roen in Campi di Golf; in Ruffrè-Mendola on Mount Nock (in both places the snow is guaranteed by the programming system) and on the Predaia plateau, at the Ciasaze. The thrill of skiing in the evening can be tried on the illuminated slopes of Ruffrè and Predaia. Numerous ski-mountaineering trails, in a splendid natural setting, especially in the Maddalene area. Nordic skiing is practiced above all at the cross-country center of the Rules of Malosco, in Sarnonico, continuing on the state road that leads to Passo della Mendola, where the tracks wind through woods and clearings on 10 km of rings at an average altitude of 1350 meters, and on Predaia.
Destination for families is the Predaia snow park and the Nevelandia al Roen funny park (Passo della Mendola), where you can learn to ski while having fun in a fairytale village, with toboggan runs and tubing. Do not miss the classic Ciaspolada, the highlight of the Epiphany in the Val di Non.Altopiano della Predaia For those who want to ski in total tranquility, in contact with nature, the Predaia plateau is the ideal place. Bordered to the south by the Val Rodeza and to the north by the Val di Toc, the plateau stretches between meadows and woods of the Corno di Tres and Monte Roen, gently sloping towards the gorge of the Noce river. The ski resort has three slopes, one blue one red and one black, with programmed snow-making facilities and a skilift-treadmill for children and beginners. There are also toboggan runs, a ski school, sports equipment rental services, including snowboards. The area has a large car park and the “Solarium Predaia” restaurant-bar. THE FUN

PALASMERALDO It is the Ice Palace of the Municipality of Fondo that has inside a 60 × 30 regulation track suitable for any sporting-competitive event on ice, both nationally and internationally. Open for about 9 months a year, it welcomes athletes of all disciplines on ice: Hockey of different categories, broomball, speed skating, figure skating. Their presence, depending on the period, is linked to training during the respective championships , preseason retreats, summer internships and also the holding of official championship matches.
The building has also proved to be suitable for the national teams of disabled athletes: in particular the Ice Sladge Hockey national team is present in two different moments of the season for meetings with the national teams of Germany and the Czech Republic. Of course the Palace is open to the public during the weekends the whole period and in the Christmas period every day. The structure is equipped with three grandstands for the public for a capacity exceeding 1000 units, changing rooms for teams and for the public and a gym for gymnastic activities to be performed before entering the ice. Immediately adjacent to the Ice Palace there is a sports field suitable for the practice not only of football but also of other athletic activities. The car parks are large and spacious and allow parking not only of cars and buses, but also of campers.

Good Value Inn with a Friendly Staff
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was bright and cheerful, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast quite good. I forgot my laptop charger and they quickly sent it on to a hotel where I would be staying for a few days.
There is no restaurant, but many dinner options are nearby, including the five star Orso Grigio for a special occasion meal.
